I have friends who like the “Blue” version of the Sunset Lines SP logo better than the red. So I

did this one and coupled it to another caboose scene. It seemed appropriate. There were actually

quite a number of variations on this logo in form as well as color. Maybe I’ll get to them. They

are tedious to paint requiring much in the way of draftsmanship and many layers of paint and

glazes to get them to come out nicely. If you look closely you can see that the surface of the

emblem has a crackled, weather beaten surface to compliment the “rust”. I consider the SP, I

think of “rust”.
