My old friends in train service are going to be rattled with this title. It's an old inside joke between engineers and trainmen and I always used it sparingly and in jest but I just couldn't resist this one more time.
This is actually a Sierra Railroad caboose that I had designs on as a model building project and so the lettering and numbering is not accurate but I liked it so much I painted it to see what it would look like. Turned out I still liked it even though I abandoned the model project....This was the first in my continuing study of railroad cabooses, long abandoned home on wheels for conductors and brakemen and an icon on the landscape no longer to be seen....
